Jammu, February 18:

The 5TH edition of AJEYA WARRIOR, Indo-UK joint military exercise commenced at Salisbury Plains Trg Area in UK on 13 Feb 2020. Dogra Regiment of Indian Army and 1st Rifles of UK Army are participating in the exercise. The opening ceremony           commenced with National Anthem of both the countries, attended by Brigadier VMB Krishnan, Brigadier Gavin Thompson, Brigadier Tom Bewick, Commander 7 Infantry      Brigade and Col Amit Saini.

 

A series of activities pertaining to Counter Terror operations commenced after the      opening ceremony. Joint practices carried out on Combat Conditioning, familiarization with weapons and Equipment of UK Army, Patrolling, Combat Survival training, fire and mov, Room Intervention Drills and Counter IED Drills in an urban scenario. Exposure to Live Artillery firing, and sharing of best practices and Drills to enhance joint interoperability and synergy in operations under UN mandate. The exercise will terminate on 26 Feb 2020 after validation of joint tactical Drills and practices of both Armies.
