Jammu, April 4:

The amendment to the domicile policy made by the Centre on Friday night has underlined the fact that the Modi government cares for the people of Jammu and Kashmir , and cares the most.

By reserving all government jobs for the domicile of Jammu and Kashmir, reversing the original order of March 31 in which only class IV jobs fell in the reserved category, the Centre has shown that it is open to reason and make necessary corrections wherever things go wrong.

Around midnight on Friday when the amendment came to the J&K Reorganisation ( Adoption of state laws ) Order 2020 , making it clear that all jobs would be reserved for the domicile of J&K, withdrawing the March 31 order in which only class four jobs were reserved for them.

The Centre had sensed the anger that had started brewing all across Jammu and Kashmir owing to the original order and was convinced that the modifications needed to be made. The Centre went several steps ahead by reserving all jobs in the Union Territory that came into being on October 31 last year after the erstwhile state was divided into two UTs.

“ Even after J&K lost its special status and the statehood, it continues to be a strategically important place where the people’s contentment is necessary,” a source told JK NEWS TODAY. It was in view of this that the Centre took this decision. “It should not be read as a climb down but a modification after receiving the feedback from the people.,” the source said.

Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval who took this critical decision were aware of the sensitivities of the people in Jammu and Kashmir . They have upheld their word that they care for the people of Jammu and Kashmir .

This is just the first step , and many more measures are in offing once the country emerges out of the pandemic of Corona virus that has resulted in lockdown of the most of the world.
