Another civilian killed in overnight Pakistani firing at Kanachak sector, while one injured.
BSF spokesperson said that firing was on since last night, but since 6 am there calm on the borders.
The civilian identified as Gopal Bawa son of Bansi Lal (45) of Kanachak died due to cross border firing at kanachak. The body was shifted to mortuary for postmortem and in the same incident his brother also injured and admitted to GMC Hospital. Injured has been identified as Ram Bawa.
Meanwhile, regarding update of border situation, BSF spokesperson said that Cross border fire was stopped by 5:45 am. It has covered whole area of Pargwal, RS Pura, Arnia and Ramgarh.
“No fire in Samba-Kathua area. No BSF injury”, he said and added, “However there has been occassional small burst coming from few of Counterpart Posts.”
