In order to provide an impetus to employment generation in the region, the Indian Army conducted basic computer classes for the youth of Village Seri, in Rajouri district, from 16 October to 15 November 2018.

A total of 12 students of Village Seri attended the training which would enhance their functional knowledge of computer as well as provide them an initiative to further open employment avenues in the field of information technology. The training capsule aims at increasing awareness of Information Technology amongst students with an effort to bring them at par with their counterparts in other parts of the country. The training curriculum included basics of computer operating, Office Software and safe surfing practices on the Internet.

The aim of such courses by the Army is not only to train the students and assist in employment but also to enhance the socio and economic development of the region. The local populace thanked the Army for their earnest efforts in extensively promoting education for students and bringing development in the region.
