Army is conducting a welding course for youth from remote villages of Gulabgarh region, Reasi district. The aim of the course was to empower the youth with skills in order to assist them in getting gainfully employed.

The 12 days course, which started on 02 July 18 is being attended by 20 enthusiastic youth. During the course, besides theoretical classes, emphasis will also be laid on practical training with an aim to adequately equip youth in the art of welding and there-by enabling them to secure suitable jobs or setup their own enterprises. At the end of the training all the candidates will be given certification by the NSDC for successfully completing the course.

Bahardin, Sarpanch of the village Bagga, on behalf of the locals, has conveyed his appreciation and gratitude towards the Army for taking up this initiative for the local populace of remote villages.
