The Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Gool in Reasi gave an exposure to the locals especially women in learning driving skills which is a unique experience for them.
The driving course run by the Army, is an empowering tool to give confidence to the women. The month long course has been organised under Sampark project, which had initial participation of twelve women and subsequently they will be the pioneer to initiate the awareness amongst other.
Speaking during the function, the participants said that this step is a part of the overall efforts by the organisation towards empowerment of women which would enable them to become self dependent in future.
During the course, the participants had been trained on theoretical as well as practical aspects of driving under the guidance of a lady instructor.
