13th Edition of Annual North Tech Symposium was organized under the aegis of Headquarters Northern Command at Udhampur today . The event based on the theme ‘Enhancing Combat Potential through Technology Based Solutions to meet Operational Challenges in the Northern Theatre’ was inaugurated by Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, GOC-in-C, Northern Command. This event aims at participants showcasing cutting edge technologies, latest products and equipment to mitigate challenges faced by Northern Army in the huge canvas of operations and responsibilities in the fields of situational awareness, soldier protection, communication, fire power, bullet proofing, tactical mobility, clean energy, medical and operational logistic solutions. The event this year saw more than 90 participants including Defence Public Sector Undertaking (DPSUs), Private Sector, Vendors/Sub-vendors and System Integrators. This interactive platform for knowledge diffusion through Joint Army-Industry participation was also aimed at propelling the Government initiative of “Make In India”.

The symposium achieved great synergy and strengthened the Army-Industry partnership, paving the path ahead for induction and development of custom-made solutions and equipment towards capability development and supporting the soldier on the ground.
