The Jammu and Kashmir police  will file challan in the court of law against the  accused arrested in the case of alleged rape and murder of  minor  nomad girl Asifa in a couple of days.

The police have  completed investigations and the charge sheet  is being drafted against the   accused arrested in the heinous crime since it surfaced in January , police sources disclosed. It is being given finishing touches.

“ It is a clear cut case of rape and murder,” a senior police official told J K News Today on Wednesday morning.

The police have arrested two special police officers, a teenager and  father-son duo in the  conspiracy and crime execution  in Rasana village in Kathua district  in South Jammu.

The investigations by the Crime Branch had stirred controversy as the local villagers alleged that the investigations were  politically  and communally motivated under the political pressure. They  also wanted CBI inquiry, which was ruled out by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti despite two BJP ministers  Lal Singh and Chander Prakash Ganga  having supported the demand publicly .
