Ganderbal 06 April:Curfew was imposed in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Friday to prevent protests against the killing of a youth (Gowher) in police action on Tuesday.
According to reports that the announcement of curfew was made through police vehicle on today morning
Police official said that curfew has been imposed to prevent “law and order problems.”
Local source said that huge contingent of police and paramilitary Central Reserve Police force has been deployed and imposed strict restrictions
They also said that forces did not allow civilian movement in the town and enforced curbs strictly.
Pertinently, a Kangan youth, Gowher Ahmad who was shot and injured by police succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS on Tuesdayevening.
