The Border Security force cancelled the beating retreat ceremony at Wagah border for today and has sounded high alert along the Indo-Pak International Border following surgical strikes on terror launch pads in PoK
The lowering of the flags ceremony at Wagah border near Hussainiwala National Martyrs Memorial, is a daily military practice that the security forces of India (Border Security Force) and Pakistan (Pakistan Rangers) have jointly followed since 1959.
Meanwhile, high alert has been sounded along IB from Gujrat to Jammu and also along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir in anticipation of possible retaliation by Pakistan. Civilian authorities have been asked to ensure safety of the civilians in the forward areas.
