Last Friday of the year began with severe clashes between villagers and the security forces in Samboora in Pulwama district in south Kashmir in which several persons were injured.
The protests started after the security forces laid a cordon to pre-empt a militant attack, but the locals came out and started protests forcing the forces to use teargas shells and aerial firing , the reports reaching here said.
The clashes have intensified . More than a dozen people have been injured.
Pulwama has been the epicenter of the protests which followed following the killing of Hizb-ul-Mujahadeen Commander Burhan Wani on July 8.
The protests were continuing despite the supposed area domination by the army and the central paramilitary forces.
