Two suspected terrorists have been killed on the outskirts of Hyderabad in an operation carried out by the local police and the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
The shoot-out took place in a residential neighbourhood called Millenium Towers, which was blocked off by security forces.
The encounter took place in the town of Shadnagar in the district of Mahubnagar, just 60 kms from the state capital of Hyderabad.
The NIA has recently arrested several young men in Telangana for alleged links to terror group ISIS.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the state yesterday.
