Manzoor Ahmad Dar, famously known as Pandav in Jammu and Kashmir cricket circles will play for Kings XI Punjab side in IPL. At Pandav’s native village, his friends and relatives are distributing sweets to celebrate the joyous occasion that has made the entire village proud.

The jubilation is vivid on every face in sleepy Shiganpora village of Bandipora. Happiness has dawned the village, after their ‘Pandav’ made it to this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL).

Manzoor Ahmad Dar, famously known as Pandav in Jammu and Kashmir cricket circles will play for Kings XI Punjab side in IPL. At Pandav’s native village, his friends and relatives are distributing sweets to celebrate the joyous occasion that has made the entire village proud.

At Pandav’s home, his parents are attending neighbors and relatives. Having been brought up in penury, the parents of Pandav become emotional while talking about their son.

“Since his childhood he was interested in cricket. Although our village have no playground, he had a fire in the belly to achieve something,” said Mukhtar Ahmad Dar, Pandav’s father surrounded by neighbors and relatives.

Dar, himself a farmer said that he had given his son full freedom to chase his dreams.
