Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Syed Basharat Bukhari today informed the Legislative Council that the government will expedite the process of filling up the vacant posts in the Revenue Department.
Replying to a question by Master Noor Hussain, Minister said the department has posted all the newly recruited Patwaris against the vacant posts. He said concerned recruitment agencies would be asked to expedite the process for filling up the remaining vacant posts.
The Minister informed that out of the 1836 sanctioned posts of Patwaries, 1565 Patwaries are in position while as 239 posts are lying vacant in the department. He said the department has already referred the available vacancies under various categories to the recruiting agencies. “As and when recruitment process is completed, the vacant posts will be filled up,” he assured and informed that the un-referred vacancies are also being referred in due course for recruitment.
