Exchange of firing across Line of Control (LoC) in Shahpur area of Poonch district statred at 10.45 am today.
According to sources Indian troops retalited to the “unprovoked firing” by Pakistani troops and continued till reports last came in. No loss of life was reported so far.
Last night Pakistani forces targeted Kranti out post of India which too was responded.
Tension has heightened along LoC and International border after India carried out surgical strikes on terrorists camp in POK in retaliation to suicide attack by terrorists on Uri Brigade killing 19 soldiers.
