As first reported by JK News Today, top separatist leadership today announced for the first time five-day relaxation for the coming week in the past over five months of unrest in Kashmir Valley triggered by the killing of Hizb-ul-Mujahadeen Commander Burhan Wani on July 8.

Relaxation period is for all including Public and private transport as well as factories, educational institutions and other industrial unit holders, a release of the separatist leadership said.
It also added that, “ public and private vehicular movement not to be stopped after 10 pm to 8 am on all nights.” It is a big relief for the people across the Valley. They had been waiting for this kind of announcement for months.
The JKNT report stood confirmed by the latest calendar of the unified Hurriyat Conference or what they call “ resistance leadership” on Wednesday evening. It may be mentioned that the report had also stated that the announcement would come on Wednesday, and it did.
As per the latest calendar, there will be 24×7 relaxation for five days beginning from coming Sunday to next Thursday (December 18 to 23) both days inclusive.”
