GANDERBAL 10 APRIL: Fresh snowfall In Sonamarg and Zojila in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District and traffic Suspended on Srinagar Leh highway on Tuesday due to fresh Snowfall
Fresh snowfall was recorded in Sonamarg the famous tourist-resort in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, an official said.
According to reports said the resort recorded about two inches of fresh snowfall till this morning.
Reports said the plains in the valley received intermittent rains for the third day today.
The 434-km Srinagar-Leh highway was temporarily closed on Tuesday due to fresh snowfall at Zojila pass
“Traffic was temporarily suspended on the highway after fresh snow caused slippery conditions and slides at few places,” said a senior traffic police official.
He said that the road will be opened for traffic after weather improves.
