Senior most separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani has condoled the death of former Deputy Chief Minister Mangat Ram Sharma with whom he was in the legislative Assembly for many years.
In a statement issued here this evening Geelani expressed his deep sorrow and shock over the death of 90 year old senior politician Mangat Ram Sharma.
While remembering the days spend with him in assembly, Geelani said that he had “brotherly relations with him.”
“ He often used to say that “Kashmir issue will live till Geelani is alive”.
He further said that Sharma supported our stand of ban on liquor and other social issues.
While condoling Sharma’s death Geelani said that “I have lost a good and critic friend whom I will remember for long.”
