Kargil, November 27

Prominent youth leader of BJP unit Kargil and RTI activist Ahsan Ali Gongkhapa alias Gandhi today resigned from party as mark of protest against demonetisation.

“I am fed at this anti- Poor demonetization  announced by Prime Minister which has led to  huge crisis in the country and now I have decided to quit this party,” Gongkhapa said citing reason for his resignation

“The poor people in Kargil who have no bank accounts, used to keep their money in their houses. They are now facing lots of problems after this demonetization”, he said.

Gongkhapa added that this demonetization has led so many problems in the country especially in the rural areas. “If PM had guts then he has to take action against those who were involve in 2G, Coal Scams”.

Ahsan further said, “BJP is no more peoples’ friendly and they did nothing for the people of Kargil district despite of making tall promises”.

Gongkhapa lamented “Kargil has been ignored by coalition government even after one and half years the Chief Minister has not visited this (Kargil) district”.

Ahsan said that he was the member of BJP Unit Kargil and supported the party after PM Modi promised  equitable development of the people of all the three regions — Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, and given the slogan “Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Vikas”. He regretted, “This is not happening.”
