Jammu, March 7: 

J&K Grameen Bank today organized two Financial Literacy and Awareness programmes in Jammu district.

Financial Inclusion and Insurance Department under the chairmanship of Janak Raj Angural in collaboration with NABARD organized Programmes through branch offices Bahu Fort and Narwal.

At Bahu Fort, Mukesh Sagotra, Branch Head was resource person while Sharda Devi Corporator ward number 47 and  Ankush Khajuria President Shopkeeper Association Bahu Fort were guest of honors.

Sagotra welcomed the gathering and gave a brief description of bouquet of products offered by the Bank which also include all types of insurance in addition to routinely offered deposits and advances.

He also spread awareness about new technologies available in the Bank such as multiple uses of Bank cheques, use of POS Machine, RuPay Debit card, KCC RuPay Debit Card, Net Banking, Mobile Banking Services, IMPS, and Aadhaar based transactions etc.

He also spread awareness about various social security and insurance schemesbeing offered by the Bank. He cited the benefits of these schemes and urged the gathering to avail these schemes and spread their awareness among their relatives and friends too.

At Narwal, Sahil Sharma, Branch Head Narwal was Chief Guest and talked in brief about various social security schemes like APY, PMSBY, PMJJBY, etc. and the positive change these have brought in our day to day lives.

Representatives of Line Departments like KVIB, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Education, and NRLMalsoattended the programmebesides the huge gathering of students and clientele of the Bank.
