Heavy snowfall and rains lash across Jammu and Kashmir on Monday affecting the vehicular movement on Jammu- Srinagar highway .
Jammu- Srinagar highway has been closed at several places.
The snowfall lashed Kashmir Valley and upper reaches of Jammu affecting the normal life .
According to metrological department, the snowfall and rains will continue for another 48 hours .
However, this snowfall has come as a big relief to the people who were fearing worst because of the prolonged dry spell.
