Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Council Chairman has constituted a committee of the members of  both the Houses to look into the negligence and other related issues which led to the death of Sadhaya Arora, son of Advocate Ramesh Arora, who is also the sitting Member of the Council.

Sadhaya Arora was admitted in Govt. Medical College Hospital, Jammu due to Dengue and on the very next day he was administered platelets and there was reaction to it and suddenly blood pressure fell down. Fearing the negligence committed, he was shifted  to Fortis hospital Ludhiana, thereafter he was shifted to PGI where he breathed is last on October 23, 2016.

Ghulam Nabi Monga had raised this issue at the very first day in Legislative Council and demanded House Committee to look into negligence. All the members, irrespective of their political affiliations, stood up in support of the demand and asked the Chairman that we have to check the system and we are all aware about the negligence.

Chairman Anayat Ali immediately announced for the same and constituted a committee comprising of Ghulam Nabi Monga (MLC), G.M. Saroori (MLA), Devendra Singh Rana (MLA), S. Bashir Ahmed Shah Veeri (MLC), Shenaz Ganai, (MLC), Vibodh Gupta (MLC), Firdous Ahmad Tak (MLC) and Surinder Kumar Choudhary (MLC).

Ramesh Arora (MLC) appreciated the constitution of committee and expressed faith in it while hoping that after proper inquiry truth will come out. He said that although no one can bring back the precious life of any person but honest efforts can set the system right, which may prove to be helpful for the others who reach the government run health institutions in different parts of the state.
