JAMMU, APRIL 17:
The Department of Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC) today informed that water in Main Ranbir Canal, New Pratap Canal, and Kathua Canal along with other canals of Jammu province shall be released from April 21, 2020.
Accordingly, all the concerned Superintending and Executive Engineers are directed to plan their activities to ensure completion of the ongoing works well before the recharging of canals.
The Department has asked Executive Engineers of Irrigation Division Ist, 2nd and Irrigation Division Akhnoor, Kathua and other divisions of Jammu province to monitor and make teams to move along with water as it reaches their jurisdiction to ensure safe passage of water upto tail end so that there is no loss of life and property of the inhabitants along its way.
