In order to review the preparation and ensure adequate Police/Security arrangements in connection with the National Police Day popularly known as Police Commemoration Day Parade which will be observed on 21st October throughout the country.
A meeting was held by (IGP) Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone, Jammu Sh. Danesh Rana-IPS, in Conference Hall, at Police Control Room, Jammu here this evening with the Police officers for ensuring adequate security, law and order arrangements for the day to acknowledge the sacrifices made by the martyrs.
There are two functions being organised on 21st of Oct-2016 i.e. Ist main function at Police Training Ground Gulshan Ground, Jammu and 2nd functions at Police Martyrs Memorial at Railway station, Jammu in the morning as well as evening . A blood donation camp will also be organised after the COMMEMORATION DAY Parade.
During the meeting, detailed briefings were given by the participants to IGP Jammu Zone with regard to preparation, Administrative arrangements, Publicity/invitations and other important arrangements required to be made as per past practice and also acknowledge the sacrifices made by the Martyrs. IGP Jammu Zone, Jammu Sh. Danesh Rana-IPS advised the participants to maintain close liaison and ensure that all the arrangements are put in place well in time in a coordinated manner.
He also directed the participants to ensure adequate police/security arrangements at both the locations in the morning as well as in the evening in view of the ongoing escalation on the IB/LOC and present unrest in the Kashmir valley.
The meeting was attended by, IG IRP Jammu, DIG Jammu, SSP Jammu ,SSP Crime, SSP PCR, SSP Railways, SSP APCR, SSP Security ,SP Telecom , all territorial SsSP , Commandants of 10th & CO 14th Bn besides SDRF (2nd Bn.) Jammu and Estate officer .
