Srinagar, Febraury 3: While all organizations have cancelled their ski courses due to paucity of snow, IISM Gulmarg was able to conclude their 03rd ski course today. An impressive graduation ceremony was held inside the institute where Maj Gen Atul Kaushik, Commandant High Altitude Warfare School was chief guest. He gave away awards to the winners of different ski events during the courses.
Mr. JS Dhillon, the Principal of IISM welcomed the chief guest and parents of students who came to attend the graduation ceremony. He said that IISM has become the best ski institute of the Nation and of South East Asia. There is a huge waiting list of the admission seekers. He told that institute provides best training under highly qualified Instructors. Students are provided best equipment of international standards and boarding & lodging in a centrally heated building.
Institute not only develop the skill of skiing but also help its students to develop their personality by exposing them to the challenging environment. Institute is the best platform of national integration where students from different parts of the country train alongwith students from J&K. Principal complimented the students for successful completion of the course and advised them to be the ambassadors of Kashmir to spread a message of peace and harmony so that tourists do not have any fear to visit Kashmir.
Gen Kaushik in his address complemented the institute for maintaining an excellent standard of training and administration. He said Mr. Dhillon has revived this institute after a long period of turmoil in the valley and now this institute is one of the best ski schools in South East Asia. He appreciated the hard work put in by its staff and instructors to get the institute at such a prestigious position. He complimented the students for successfully completing the course and motivated them to pursue the life of adventure. He said adventurous life enables you to face any challenges of life and develop strong bond amongst your peers.
Mrs. Shfaq Afshan the officiating Principal of DPS was the guest of honor who complemented Mr. Dhillon & his team to conduct such a wonderful training for their students. She said when these students go back to school; they have high degree of confidence with refined personality. She requested Mr. Dhillon to give opportunity to more of her students both in winter and summer courses
