With an aim to bring in communal harmony and to inculcate sportsman spirit amongst the youth, Indian Army conducted a ‘Badminton Competition’ on 22 December 18 at Dachan, Ramban . The event was part of the Army’s efforts to promote positive youth development through sports and provide a platform to showcase the hidden talent of local youth.
A total of 26 youth from Dachan, Dada, Mahakund and Indh villages of Ramban District participated in the competition. The aim of the tournament was to build competitive spirit amongst the youth as well as to provide an impetus to rural sports activities in the region.
All the participating members displayed excellent sportsman spirit during the conduct of the competition. The Sarpanch and elders of the villages expressed their gratitude towards the Army in its endeavours to motivate the youth of the region and bring in bonhomie.
