An infiltration bid was foiled by the troops of Indian Army in the densely forested area along Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch sector today morning.
The Defence Spokesman told, “On noticing some suspicious activity, the troops deployed along LoC challenged a group of 2-3 infiltrators who were attempting to cross over to our side. The group immediately opened fire which was responded to in equal measure by the troops, forcing the group to flee back”.
In another incident there was unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Rajouri Sector from 1240 hrs using small arms and automatics. “It is being responded appropriately and befittingly by Indian troops, ” said spokesman
