Jammu, February 27:
An Inspector in J&K Police today arrested under an inquest proceedings in the mysterious death of his wife with his service weapon on Monday evening at Rehari area of Jammu.
The Inspector identified as Vivek Bassan, presently posted in SSG in the security of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti was arrested today after his wife Neha died of gunshot in their residence .
She was rushed to the GMC Jammu Hospital for treatment where she was declared as dead.
Her parents and other family members blamed their son-in-law for Neha’s death.
The SSG Inspector was taken into police custody for questioning and a case in this regard has been registered at police station Pacca Danga.
