Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Mayor, Sh. Chander Mohan Gupta on Thursday inaugurated Royal Circus, one of the India’s leading circus companies, at Purmandal Morh, Bari Brahmana Jammu.

With the inauguration, the Royal Circus would stage three shows on daily basis for general public, while the number of shows on holidays and Sundays will be four.

The Mayor also went around the food stalls established in the premises of the Circus and appreciated the management to start such events in Jammu city.

He said the people especially children will enjoy such type of circus inspite of their busy schedule and will see the wonderful activities of the local as well as foreign artists in reality on the stage.  The Royal Circus has been organised by Sharma Brothers.

The Royal Circus has been holding shows in the ‘City of Temples’ after a gap of 24 years and this time, the artists of national and international repute, particularly Africans, would entertain the people with braving stints. Over 75 artists will mesmerize the visitors with their braving stints like rope climb, ring dance, pole dance and other amazing acts.

Besides, the visitors would also enjoy the different kinds of ‘Jhulas’ (swings) and artificial boating for children at the venue, apart from finding food stalls and shopping opportunities, he said and appealed to the people to visit the venue in large numbers.

On the opening day, hundreds of people drawing from different parts of Jammu city and its outskirts visited the Circus along with their families and enjoyed the braving stints of artists there.

“The people of Jammu will witness jaw-dropping circus performances from one of the ace circus companies in the country, Royal Circus, which is visiting the city after a gap of 24 years. On a daily basis, three shows will be staged and the timing of the shows will be 12 noon, 3pm and 6 pm. On holidays and Sundays, an additional show at 10 am will also be staged,” Arun Sharma, the organizer of the event.

He said nominal rates of tickets have been kept for each show and advance booking would be done daily from 10 am to 12 noon.
