At a time when the University of Jammu got place among the 12 state universities of the country and the only University of the State of granting graded autonomy, a group of students has called for strike in the campus in favour of their demands.

Jammu University, which has been recognized by the UGC under its new initiative of granting graded autonomy got congratulations from Governor and Chief Minister today and a student’s group called Team Parivartan led by one Abhinandan Sharma has circulated a message for strike in the University Campus regarding their demands.

“Jammu university would be closed by the students regarding their genuine and basic demand such 24×7 food facility to hostels and library students, internet facility, not opening of new hostel, installation of cctv cameras and not entry of state police into campus without permission of JU authorities,” the message reads.
