Following protests and clashes since last few days in the Jammu University campus, the University authorities today issued an appeal to the students.
The University PRO in a written appeal, said, “It is for the information of all concerned that the University of Jammu has witnessed few ugly incidents of violence, vandalism, disturbance of classes and functions by a small group of suspended students and outsiders on 22nd and 23rd March, 2018.”
The JU authority added, “Taking cognizance of the situation, the entry of the suspended students has been banned in the Campus by the University Authorities and Police has also been informed accordingly.”
The PRO further appealed that all the Students, Scholars, University employees and the public in general are accordingly requested to kindly bring their Identity cards with them and cooperate with the University Security while visiting the University Campus.
Students are further appealed to continue attending their classes without any fear.
