Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today declared that Kashmir is not a religious issue but a political one .
Addressing a gathering of Wakf ulemas in Srinagar, the Chief Minister wanted to diminish the notion that J&K has become a religious issue where the majority Muslim community wanted special rights and privileges .
She reiterated : “ Kashmir is a political issue and not a religious issue.”
Referring to militants , she said : “ Picking gun won’t take anyone to paradise , it lies beneath the feet of parents.”
