The Jammu and Kashmir government  has offered  an option to students  of 10 and 12  classes to appear  either in November this year or March next year, but those appearing in  March will get no relaxation in syllabus .

However, there would be no relaxation in syllabus for the students of both the classes appearing in March exams.

“The examination of open choice of questions will be conducted as per the date sheet already notified. The examination of students who are interested to appear with full syllabi shall be provided an opportunity in separate examination which shall be held during March 2017, without any academic penalty,” said Board of School Education (BOSE) Chairman Zahoor Ahmad Chatt.

Chatt said that candidates belonging to division Gurez, Tandgar and Tehsil Keran and Machil, both regular and private, shall not be eligible for the proposed March 2017 examinations.

The students have to exercise their option only once and those opting to appear in November 2016 annual examination with open choice of questions as announced by the Board shall not be eligible to appear in the proposed annual examination of class 10 and class 12 to be held in March 2017. according to Education Minister  Naeem Akhtar
