Srinagar, February 5: A Kashmiri girl from Kulgam in South Kashmir has alleged that she was sexually exploited by some influential people and that there exists a big sex racket that has connections within and outside of the Valley .
Her revelations in a video clip have gone viral . She said that she was lured into the racket by some locals and later handed over to the pimps who were operating with the help of top men in politics and police .
She said that the sex ring was operating under the patronage of politicians and bureaucrats .
“ I know how I have been exploited. That is bad enough. But I have come forward to reveal all this because I want to save other girls from falling prey to this racket,” she told the men who made a video clip of her. She is heard saying : “ Top men are involved , and she can identify all those who have exploited her.”
Sources said that this is just tip of the iceberg . Several sex rackets are active in Kashmir in which the poor girls are being exploited by the moneyed and influential people.
Director General of Police S P Vaid has claimed that the racket would be unearthed and no one, howsoever, big would be spared if the investigations find them guilty .
