Thousands of  Kashmiris bid  a tearful  adieu to  four soldiers from the Valley  who were killed by terrorists  in Sunjwan army camp last week.

In all six soldiers and a civilian were killed  by terrorists. Of them four soldiers and civilians were from the Valley.

There were highly emotional scenes as tears flowed in plenty  when the bodies were lowered into graves.

Women  and children  wailed all through when the soldiers’ bodies were brought to their respective villages in Kupwara,  Kulgam and  Pulwama districts .

Thousands of mourners, who had been waiting to receive the bodies since Saturday, gathered in the village as the bodies of soldier Muhammad Iqbal Sheikh and his father Ghulam Mohiudin Sheikh arrived in Reshipora village today.

Both were killed after Fidayeen stormed the Sujuwan army base in the outskirts of Jammu city on Saturday.

On Monday, the bodies could not be flown to Srinagar from Jammu airport due to bad weather and snowfall.

Six soldiers and a civilian were killed in the attack. Ten others, including six women and children were injured.
