Jammu,  March 3:

Kathua is observing bandh on Saturday to   press   demand for the CBI inquiry into  the alleged rape and murder of a minor girl in a village in Hiranagar belt  more than six weeks ago .

The call has been given by Hindu Ekta Manch which is spearheading the campaign to  get CBI inquiry instituted into the heinous crime . The protests have been triggered as the police have booked three  persons, including two SPOs, Deepak Khajuria and  Surinder Kumar .

But the Hindu Ekta Manch  has alleged that the arrests have been made under the political pressure  of the Kashmir-centric parties who, they believe,  have presumed  perpetrators of crime, while trying to shield the  real culprits.

The HEM  has been  backed by BJP  officially as two of its ministers Lal Singh and Chander Prakash Ganga have come in support of the  demand for CBI.

Meanwhile , sources have disclosed that Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is not going to  order  CBI inquiry into the crime.
