Jammu and Kashmir Tourism has been awarded for Ladakh emerging as one of the best and most sought after destination for adventure tourism in 2016.
The award was given by internationally renowned travel readers publication Conde Nast which adjudged Ladakh as the best adventure destination .
The award was given by the union Tourism secretary Vinod Zutshi in presence of the who is who of travel trade across the country and the ambassadors of UK , ,Srilanka, and the first secretaries of ,France and Switzerland.
The said award is an internationally recognized one and is given after thorough evaluation of different factors and criteria with absolute neutrality .
While receiving this prestigious award the secretary Tourism and floriculture Farooq A shah in his presentation showcased the huge potential of the state for adventure Tourism and assured to equip the state with international standard infrastructure in all kinds of tourism particularly adventure tourism for realizing the vision of Mufti Mohammad Syed who dreamed to make j&k as one of the best Tourism destination in the world .
