After resigning from Mehbooba Mufti’s Cabinet, both BJP MLAs Lal Singh and Chander Parkash Ganga in separate talks with media persons said that they will continue to demand for CBI probe in Asifa case.
The MLA Basohli, Lal Singh asked, “What is harm in CBI probe, we are not with accused, but we also demanded for justice to the minor girl Asifa and we had never done anything wrong.”
Similarly, MLA Vijaypur, Chander Parkash Ganga also said that he is also continue to demand CBI probe as there is a need for impartial probe in this case and a large chunk of local residents even raised questions on CBI probe and we were only visited the place to pacify them, but not to support any accused.
Both the BJP MLA, who were cabinet ministers and resigned after national media and opposition raised that they were participated in a pro-rapist rally, they cleared that they never ever supported any accused and even not disrupt any probe of Crime Branch.
“But demand for CBI probe is not anything which is illegal or unconstitutional especially when earlier there are many examples in which CBI probed many cases in J&K,” said Lal Singh.
The two BJP MLAs also said that they have resigned from the cabinet miniteries to save the image of BJP and PM Narendra Modi.
