Law students of Jammu University today filed a complaint in Ware House Police Post demanding lodging of F.I.R. against Patron National Conference and former Chief Minister of the State Dr. Farooq Abdullah for giving statement on Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) against the unanimous resolution passed by the Parliament of India on February 22, 1994.

Giving reference of the media reports, the complainants stated that on Friday, 25th November 2016 while addressing a rally of party workers in Kishtwar Jammu, pointing towards the Parliament of India’s resolution on Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) to take back the territory illegally occupied by Pakistan, Dr. Farooq Abdullah made the Statement  “ Woh Kya Tumharey Baap Ka Hai “.

The complainants’ stated that this statement by Dr. Farooq Abdullah amounts to an insult of the Parliamement of India, unconstitutional as per the constitution of India and the State  and challenges the integrity and sovereignty of India and further causes disaffection towards the lawful established government of the land.

“Both the houses of the Indian Parliament had unanimously adopted a resolution on February 22, 1994, emphasizing that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India, and that Pakistan must vacate parts of the State which is under its illegal occupation. Moreover having its legal right on the territory of PoK, as many as 25 seats remained reserved for the representatives of the People of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly”-read the complaint.

The complaint was jointly signed by Deepak Sharma, Nikher Jandyal, Abhinandan Salgotra, Harsh Sharma, Navneet Thakur, Aman Slathia, Sunil Sharma and Sunil Kundal, all law students of Jammu University.
