JAMMU: To mark the second anniversary of Swach Bharat Abhiyaan volunteers of Let’s Do It Jammu, initiated the paint work on the defaced compound walls of MAM College and vowed to “continue the same in following weeks.”
“We have taken the initiative of painting the Govt. MAM PG College boundary wall hoping that the message reaches across the society to ensure that these walls should not be defaced again and we will be organising similar activities on Sundays so the volunteers can come forward and join us.” said Hardeep Bali.
He added, “The space on the wall was being used by students’ organisations to promote personal agendas.”
Besides painting the wall, the volunteers also appealed to the concerned authorities to take the possible steps to make sure such defacing does not happen again.
