Militants today killed a civilian and injured another at Keran sector at Line of Control (LoC) in North Kashmir.
According to reports, militants opened firing on a group of civilian youthengaged in daily labour in Keran sector in North Kashmir resulting in the death of one local youth, while injuring another.
As the group of locals engaged as porters was moving the forward area of Keran sector, some militants were hiding in forest area opened indiscriminate firing killing one Showkat Chouhan (25) son of Mangta Chouhan of Kachama village, while one of his colleague was seriously injured.
Despite the bad weather conditions, the injured after being first aid by army doctors, evacuated by helicopter to the army hospital in BB Cant area of Srinagar, where his condition is stated to be stable.
