Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has  called upon  Prime Minister  Narendra Modi to  see  the plight of people of Jammu and Kashmir and open the dialogue with Pakistan to end their miseries.

Speaking  at a  gathering of the  displaced people due to Pakistani shelling , she  said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir were suffering because of the  clash between the Indian and Pakistan armies . She said that this was becoming unbearable .

“ We, the people of Jammu and Kashmir, had no role in the Partition of the country, but we are made to suffer. It must stop,” she told the gathering .

She had visited the border town of Poonch  after five members of a  family , including three children, were killed  in Pakistani shelling in  Devta village in Mendhar area of Poonch district.

In her tweet , she sent a strong message that  sometime the solution chosen for resolving the  issue often impact future badly  because  of the hardline approach.

She tweeted : “ Met with displaced families & victims of shelling in Poonch this afternoon. A stark reminder that our future doesn’t only depend on the conflicts that take place, but more so on the solutions we offer in response to them. ( JKTN)
