Chief Minister Ms. Mehbooba Mufti anguished over the civilian killings on borders has given a clarion call for fostering peace between India and Pakistan and she has termed that as the only way forward.
In a tweet within a couple of hours after Pakistani firing and shelling left five members of a family, including three children dead , Ms. Mehbooba Mufti said “ peace is the only way forward”.
“ Initiatives ( for indo-Pak peace) were started by Vajpayee ji with his Lahore bus journey and were later carried on in the same spirit by PM@narendramodi.
“ Sadly they ( initiatives) were sabotaged at Pathankot ( January 2016 terror assault at Pathankot airpbase) . We need to get on the right track if we want to save the people of J&K.
