Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has rushed to Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi to apprise him about the latest political and security situation in Jammu and Kashmir , according to highly placed sources.
Sources said that the Chief Minister has a long agenda to discuss with Prime Minister, including the functioning of the coalition government in which she is likely to raise the issue of the “incompetence” , if not other charges of corruption against BJP ministers and overall narrative in which the PDP is being shown as an “ anti-national” by the BJP leaders and their floated Hindu Ekta Manch that is seeking CBI inquiry into the alleged rape and murder of an eight year old Gujjar girl Asifa in Kathua in January .
She would plead with Prime Minister to ease tensions on borders by opening channels of communication with Pakistan . She is all set to reiterate her often-repeated line “ hold dialogue with Pakistan.
