Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Monday passionately pleaded for dialogue with Pakistan to save lives in Jammu and Kashmir in the State Legislative Assembly devoting most of her time for the need for talks between India and Pakistan.
She said that her father Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had taken the risk of going with BJP in the hope that it would open doors for dialogue. “ That is our mission,” she reiterated.
Later, in a tweet she was more emphatic in her call for dialogue with Pakistan . She tweeted : “ Dialogue with Pakistan is necessary if we are to end bloodshed . I know I will be leabelled anti-national by news anchors tonight but that doesn’t matter . The people of J&K are suffering . We have to talk because war is no option .
