Former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti Wednesday decided to reach out to her constituents in Kashmir with her old “ baaji” – elder sister image to reconnect with the people .
Mehbooba Mufti who had been secluded from her supporters and sympathisers by the administrative set up and coterie in the party has now decided to take a plunge , according to sources.
“ To me , my party is no less important than my family,” she told her party leaders who met her in the past couple of days . She appeared to be quite confident that she can bring the PDP back to its glory and show much greater results than ever before since the party was born in 1999.
The party legislators who met her in the recent past, after her return from Delhi where she held discussions with her well wishers and the old associates of her father Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
The party sources said that she would soon begin touring the villages and the homes of the militants and civilians killed on the Valley as a first step to reconnect with the people.
