Advisor Khan lauds Institute for facilitating differently abled children

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 17:

Appreciating Model Institute of Education and Research (MIER) for providing great opportunities of learning to differently abled children, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan, expressed hope that Institute would continue its noble services towards promoting education standards with the same spirit and devotion.

Advisor was speaking as a chief guest at the 84th foundation day celebration of MIER here today. The theme of the foundation day was “Anant Uday”.

Member BCCI Ranjeet Kalra was also present on the occasion.

Khan said that MIER has always been at the fore front in creating the architects of new India. He hoped that the students of the institute will be the participants in shaping the future of the country.

The Advisor said that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is keen in extending every kind of support and opportunity to students enabling them contribute towards nation building in a better way.

He said that the success of MIER has been a story of hard work, dedication and zeal of the teachers and students besides cooperation of the parents.

The foundation day was marked with various scintillating cultural performances by the students.

Advisor, while appreciating the outstanding talent of the students in co-curricular activities, emphasized upon them for further enhancing their skills both in academics and optional activities. He also lauded the strenuous efforts of teachers towards imparting quality education besides imbibing high ethos among the students.

Later, Advisor Khan felicitated the students with academic excellence awards for 2018-19 besides presenting mementos and cash prizes to those who brought laurels at various sports events including national sports events.

Meanwhile, Chairman MIER presented a memento to Advisor Khan as a token of love and appreciation.

Earlier, Adit Gupta, Director MIER Group of Institutes threw light on the activities and achievements of the Institutes.

Joint Director MIER, Rupa Gupta, presented vote of thanks.

Among others present were faculty members, management, students and parents.
