KALAKOTE MARCH 22:

Conference on Thursday took out a protest march in support of the demand for carving out a separate district and posting of Additional Deputy Commissioner in Kalakote.

Leading the protesters, former MLA and State Secretary National Conference Th Rachpal Singh assailed PDP-BJP dispensation for playing with the sentiments of the people by ignoring their legitimate demands for posting of ADC in Kalakote . He expressed grave concern over the insensitive tackling of the agitation by the coalition P government to the issue, saying they seem to be hell bent upon vitiating the atmosphere.

He said the people have vehemently rejected  posting of Addl Deputy Commissioners on rotational basis and said that instead of assuaging the aspirations of the people, the move has further aggravated the situation.

Th Rachpal Singh demanded immediate roll-back of the order saying till the time ADC in Kalakote is posted on permanent basis, the people will continue their agitation.

The former MLA assured continued support to the Beopar Mandal spearheading the agitation, saying the cause was genuine and in the larger interests of Kalakote.

He cautioned the government against delay, saying people were becoming restive as they have been forced to take to roads for the past several weeks.

Prominent among those who joined the protest march included Yashu Vardhan Singh, Ashok Sharma, Parshuram Lal Sharma, Deep Sharma, Mohit Pandoh, Vivek Sharma, Lokesh Sharma and others.
