India’s elite investigation agency, NIA is yet to take over the investigations of Sunjuwan Military Station Terror Attack in Jammu.

However, Defence Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday announced that inquiry of the deadliest terror attack on Sunjuwan Station has been handed over to NIA, but NIA has not official began with the probe as it is not received the final order from Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), till date, official sources said.

Sources said that there is set procedure and it may take some more time as we are yet to receive the letter from MHA after which we will register a case of Sunjuwan terror attack with NIA and then form a team of officers, which will work over this case and then will take over the investigations.

It is worth mentioning that two member team NIA headed by a SP rank officer on Sunday and Monday visited the Sunjuwan Military Station.

At present the Jammu police has lodged an FIR in the concern police station and initiated the investigation on its own, but there are number of angles where there is a need to probe in this terror attack.
