The Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered waiver of school fee for girl students up to Higher Secondary Level in State run educational institution.
Order issued by Coommissioner/Secretary to Government School Education department today read :
“In order to encourage enrolment of girl students in schools and to further incentivize their education, sanction is hereby accorded to waive off school fee charged from girl students in State-run educational institution up to the Higher Secondary level with immediate effect.”
This is also being seen as step to further ,”Beti Bachao, Beti Padao” campaign.
